Amadeus importer Source Systems Ltd. will demonstrate the new Amadeus Philharmonia HI-FI speakers at the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest (RMAF), which is being held October 7-9, 2016 in Denver. A press-only demo is set for Friday, October 7, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Tower Suite, #7014 in the Marriott Tech Center hotel. This event marks the first time the speakers will be demonstrated at RMAF. Public exhibit hours are Friday 12-7 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.-6 p.m., and Sunday 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
The new Amadeus speakers were co-designed by world-renowned architect Jean Nouvel and Michel Deluc, Amadeus’ Director of Research & Development. Mark Gurvey, CEO of Source Systems, Ltd., said, “The debut of the Philharmonia earlier this year in Chicago was phenomenal; everyone who heard the speakers were quite impressed. Paris-based Amadeus, Philharmonia’s parent company [www.amadeusaudio.fr], brings a fresh, unique, and innovative approach to high-end audio engineering, both in sound and style. The speakers fit a key aspect of the very highest end audio components; they are absolutely unique in both style and technology. Philharmonia evolved from R&D based on the architectural design of the Philharmonie de Paris and the extensive pro-audio studio designs as created by Amadeus.
“It will be very exciting to see and hear the reactions of consumers, reviewers, and specialty audio dealers during the show. The Philharmonia has an amazing dimensionality and accuracy; unlike anything we have experienced before. With such a unique origin of pro-audio studio mastering and evolutionary venue design, we expect to ‘Wow!’ a lot of ears at RMAF 2016,” Gurvey concluded.
The new Philharmonia is a high-definition monitoring system said to combine innovation and technology with style, and a pristine sonic character. The new speakers were initially created specifically for the Philharmonie de Paris recording and mastering studios, which were built to capture performances by the world’s most prestigious symphonic orchestras within the concert hall. French Pro Audio manufacturer Amadeus — renowned for live, installed, and custom studio sound reinforcement systems — released their Philharmonia speakers to great acclaim in 2015. Architect Jean Nouvel, who designed the new Philharmonie de Paris concert hall and co-designed the new speakers, noted, “I am not a designer. I am an architect who makes design.”
For the Philharmonia speaker demos at the RMAF, digital source devices will be provided by Lumin, Métronome, and M2Tech, with digital streaming, PC audio, and CD audio to be used during the demos. As noted above, Importer Source Systems Ltd. will be demonstrating in the Tower Suite #7014, at the Denver Marriott Tech Center, 4900 S. Syracuse St., Denver, CO 303-779-1100.
