Who doesn’t love the classic ’60s version of Batman that starred Adam West as the Caped Crusader, Burt Ward as Robin, and Julie Newmar as Catwoman — one of the three iconic actresses to have played her, in fact — that happens to be celebrating its 50th anniversary this year? (You may now insert your own, personalized “Holy BLANK!” exclamation here.)
This titanic Bat-trio have since been reunited in the vocal sense via today’s official release of Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders by WB Home Entertainment on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD. It’s a prime example of just how well modern animation can come across in hi-res, on both the audio and video fronts.
