The advent of Tidal has made CD-quality streaming available this past year in the U.S. and elsewhere. Meridian has added a new format called MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) that promises high resolution audio at data rates that are comparable to conventional CD files. Astell & Kern calls its own solution MQS (Master Quality Sound).
The seminar will discuss the current realities of music streaming, and the possibilities for audiophiles in this developing medium of music distribution.
